Baby Food Factory successfully completed its first IFS Food certification

An outstanding result of 98.98% compliance was achieved!

At our Baby Food Factory, a detailed assessment of the entire quality and food safety management system was conducted within the defined scope of the certification. This production system includes the brands Nutrino and Nutrino Lab. This is the company’s first certification according to this standard and represents an important step forward in the further development of the quality and food safety system.

The assessment covered all relevant processes and confirmed a high level of compliance of the system with the requirements of the international IFS Food standard.

The company has previously been certified according to the FSSC 22000 standard since 2019, which, like IFS Food, is recognized within the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) scheme — an international initiative accepted by leading global retail chains and the food industry.

Although both standards are part of the GFSI scheme, their focus differs:

FSSC 22000 is based on a food safety management system and a process-oriented approach.

IFS Food is strongly focused on product and process compliance with retail market requirements, operational implementation of requirements, product quality, and a detailed performance evaluation system.

Precisely because of its strong recognition among international retail partners, IFS Food certification represents a significant step in further strengthening the company’s market position.

“This certification confirms that our processes and products meet internationally recognized requirements, which is especially important for cooperation with international retail partners and for further strengthening the trust of consumers and customers. We are particularly proud of the achieved result of 98.98%, which confirms the high level of compliance of our processes with international requirements and represents the result of continuous work, dedication, and teamwork of all colleagues involved in the quality and food safety system,” said Ivana Radulović.

The certification was carried out by SGS, further confirming that the assessment was conducted by an independent and internationally recognized organization, in accordance with all standard requirements.
